I am so pleased to introduce you to Alice from the Naptime Baker. Alice will be working with me to provide these beautiful cakes for our cake smash sessions. I had the pleasure of snapping some images of Alice in her beautiful white kitchen baking a cake while her little Lucy was indeed napping - such a genius name as all us mothers can appreciate.
How it all started: "Maternity leave brought out the baker in me. My daughter would nap for hours, and in the time she was sleeping I would bake cakes for play dates with friends. I vowed to make a cake a week until returning to work and in this time I unveiled a passion and flair for creating visually stunning cakes that don't compromise on taste, experimenting with flavours and creating something a bit different. Soon friends and family were asking me to make them occasion cakes and Naptime Baker began."

When choosing a cake for your cake smash, you have various choices. You will be able to choose one of two base cakes then you can keep the cake plain or add accessories/decor as you go.

Now to add some decor. Clare from Clare Waterfall Pictures can provide you with these lovely handmade cake toppers. These are just one example; there are many more to choose from and Clare can even custom-make you a special topper on request (Prices range from £5-£10, Bespoke toppers starting at £8+).
Now to add the finishing touches……
Alice makes these cute little sugar stars, hearts and butterflies to give your cake the final wow factor. These can be done in various colours, shapes, and sizes. Please let me know if you have any special requests and we will do our best to accommodate them.
