“The photos brought tears to my eyes”
When we found out we were expecting our first baby we just knew we would want to capture his first precious moments and wanted to find the perfect person to do this. From my first phone call with Lucie, I just knew she was the right person. We had a great conversation and I felt like I had known her for so long!
We had a great time at Lucie’s studio. We were welcomed with the most beautiful set-up, including some delicious goodies, and we just sat back as Lucie worked her magic - I watched in amazement as Lucie rocked Jesse until he fell asleep and then moved him so gently into such beautiful poses in order to capture such amazing detail which we will always be able to look back on.
We had a beautiful photo reveal session too in which we were bursting with pride to see our baby boy and the photos brought tears to my eyes.

“Lucie is incredible. From the minute you arrive you instantly feel comfortable, due to the most cosy, home like studio and of course Lucies warming personality. We’ve had three sets of photographs for our son Hamish (newborn, 6 and 12 months) from Lucie. I cannot recommend Lucie’s talent and professional service enough.
As soon as you see samples of Lucie’s work you will see that your baby will be the sole focus in each photo. Her style is simple, yet elegant and any props are purely used to accent the features and personality of your baby.
Every photo setting has been perfected to a tee. Then there are the jaw dropping techniques she uses to encourage the best from your baby, whether that be using her ‘baby-whispering’ superhuman powers to relax a newborn baby into the right pose or getting an over excited 12 month old to remain in frame.
Lucie offers an incredibly professional service. Her attention to detail extends from getting the right photo to ensuring any prints or frames are of the highest quality.
When she contacts you to do the photo reveal you’ll straight away feel that she’s as excited to show you the photos as you are to see them. I’m writing this review to thank Lucie for the incredible work she’s done for us but also to publicly say that we’re so lucky to have found Lucie Woods Photography and that what she offers is quite special and certainly a step above most in her field.

“Lucie worked her magic”
Lucie was brilliant! From the minute we arrived she made us feel cosy and comfortable. My newborn was not the best at staying asleep but Lucie worked her magic and got some fantastic shots for us!
Her photos look fantastic in the reclaimed wood frame and the little fold out books were brilliant for gifts.

“Like a baby whisperer”
“Lucy was absolutely fantastic with our baby girl Penny, she explained beforehand how to prepare on the morning of the shoot and was so informative about picture styles and prices. On the day itself I was worried that my baby would keep waking up or would cry but Lucie was like a baby whisperer, swaddling and cradling my girl gently in order to get the perfect pictures, we felt relaxed and at ease.

We had such a lovely experience with Lucie. We had no idea what to expect but we enjoyed every minute in her studio.
Lucie was very gentle and soothing when positioning Oscar and knew all the tricks of the trade to get him to sleep and remain happy throughout. She put so much time and attention into taking photos and allowed us to stop whenever he needed feeding or a cuddle.
When we saw the photos a few weeks later we were totally overwhelmed with the job she had done - they are absolutely perfect and we will treasure them forever!
We can’t wait to come back for our six-month session. For any one thinking about having their newborn photos taken by Lucie - we would highly recommend it! :) x

“The best newborn photographer in Manchester!”
We have done our pregnancy and new born sessions with Lucie and we are really happy! The final pictures are amazing.

We were so impressed with our newborn session! Lucie had taken the time to find out what we wanted and styled everything beautifully, especially with all her lovely crocheting! The session was a very relaxing experience for us all and Lucie made sure Norah was calm and relaxed throughout.

“I knew that Lucie would be the best - she DID NOT disappoint”
I booked with Lucie after seeing a friend’s little girl’s photographs. I looked around at other newborn photographers but in my heart I knew that Lucie would be the best. She DID NOT disappoint.
My baby was booked in near to the expected due date and Lucie was very professional and friendly as we talked over the phone. To my surprise our little one decided to arrive 9 weeks early!
This did not phase Lucie and she was very patient and we were able to reschedule the shoot for when he came home from hospital. Lucie communicated frequently to see how we were getting on.
On the day of the shoot Lucie was amazing, she treated my little boy with such care and the overall experience was so relaxed, so much so he stayed asleep for the duration.
Finally it came to the big reveal for the pictures, how I managed to contain the tears I do not know. Lucie had created a presentation to music with all of the edited pictures which enhanced the whole experience and he even got a souvenir of the teddy that he had used within his shoot.
Lucie is highly professional and I would recommend her to anyone. I now have a 4-month-old baby who is changing everyday but will have the perfect pictures of his early days to last a lifetime.
